I manage Microsoft 365 and security for small law firms, medical practices and dental practices in the Cleveland area.
One person, working with a small number of practices. You get me every month, not a different technician each time.
What I do, every month
Accounts and access
I keep multi-factor authentication in place across your accounts. That is the second step after a password, and it is the single most effective protection against someone getting into your email. Every month I check every account against your staff list and keep administrator access to the minimum.
Staff joining and leaving
New staff set up with the right access. Tell me the day somebody leaves and their access is off the same working day. Access updated when somebody changes role.
Your data
I verify every month that your backups are covering what they should. Once a quarter I run a test restore and tell you the result.
Keeping things current
Security updates monitored across your computers. Your Microsoft 365 licences and settings managed, including telling you when you are paying for something you do not use.
A written report, every month
You receive a short written report covering what was checked, what was found, what was fixed, and anything I need a decision on. It is written to be read by you, not by an IT person. It is also documented evidence that these controls are managed, which is what an insurer or a regulator asks for.
What I do not do
- Your practice management or case management software. Your software vendor supports that.
- Your internet connection and your phones. Those providers own them.
- Clinical and imaging equipment.
- Printers and copiers, beyond getting them onto the network.
- Buying hardware, installing it, and cabling.
- Larger projects such as migrations and office moves. I quote those separately.
Anything that belongs to another supplier, I will tell you who owns it rather than leaving you to find out.
Response times
| Anything you send me | Answered by the end of the next working day |
|---|---|
| The practice cannot operate | Same evening, where you can reach me |
| Scheduled work | Outside your opening hours |
I do this alongside a full-time job, so I cannot promise to answer the phone at ten o'clock on a Tuesday morning. If something cannot wait, we will work out how it gets covered.
What it costs
| Getting started, one off | $1,500 |
|---|---|
| Monthly, up to 10 people | $600 |
| Monthly, 11 to 20 people | $850 |
| Monthly, 21 to 35 people | $1,200 |
Month to month. Thirty days notice on either side. No long contract.
Getting in touch
Email me and tell me roughly how many people work at your practice. I will reply with what a first conversation looks like.
